Chapter of US Lacrosse - This organization provides the region
with representation in US Lacrosse (see below) and oversees a whole host
of lacrosse activities, including youth lacrosse leagues for boys and
girls, team tryouts and training for the boys' and girls' teams that
participate in the Empire State Games, and developmental programs for
players looking to reach their lacrosse potential. Membership includes
local college coaches, high school coaches, and many of the most lacrosse-knowledgeable
people in the entire region. |
| Breakaway
Sports (785-1393) - Located in Latham, this is THE place in the
Capital Region to purchase lacrosse ANYTHING. Store managers Mike McCarthy
and Jeff Serge have been nothing but great to us. Good prices for good
stuff, and a warehouse of lacrosse knowledge. Resist the temptation to
shop elsewhere! |
| Field
and Teams (283-4399) - Now located on Route 4 opposite Applebee's,
F&T has long been the provider of custom lacrosse apparel for Youth
Lacrosse (like those cool jerseys with your name and number), the High
School Boys (shorts and shirts), and jackets and hats for everyone.
Manager Kathy Lochner consistently provides us with perfection in record
time. Check out their team uniforms, athletic wear and outerwear! |

Form, Inc. (477-2700) - When it comes to health and fitness, if
there's a nicer, more knowledgeable guy than Ron Annis, I haven't met him.
For many years the beloved athletic trainer at Columbia High School, Ron
is perhaps a little (but not much!) lesser known for his Speed, Strength
and Power Camps, the Blue Devils Drug-Free Liftoff, his work
with the Columbia Iron Devils, New York State Coaching
Certification courses, and a
whole host of programs that would fill most of this page. At his new
location on Miller Road in Castleton, Ron is now offering personal training for anyone looking
to get to that next level, whether they be athletes of any age, or those
of us just trying to age as gracefully as possible. (My dad's 79 and has benefited
greatly from 5 sessions of balance and strengthening exercises.) Give Ron a chance -
you won't be disappointed! |
| US
Lacrosse - This is the governing body and central repository for
lacrosse in the world. There's information here for everyone,
regardless of how much you know about the game. |
